Then we drove up the road and picked apples. Here are the apple trees. See the branches that are low? That's how we got so many. I filled my bag almost to the top!

We are grinding apples
up to make apple cider with Papa.

 The long cranker goes back and forth click, click. It makes the wood blocks press down on the apples to squeeze them. Then the juice comes out the bottom of the press. "I am making apple cider too and there is my cup. Abby is there too. There's George. I went in Susie's van, I sat in front. My name is Robin." Photographer: Suzie Newman
